Yes, WE CAN positively impact your child's life forever. As, President (then senator) Barak Obama once said "At the moment that we persuade a child, any child, to cross that threshold, that magic threshold into a library, we change their lives forever, for the better." Does your child have a District of Columbia Public Library card? If not, you may download, print, fill-out and deliver this form to your public librarian.

The Library Lending Agreement
Filling out Stoddert's Library Lending Agreement is one of the most fiscally prudent ways to provide your child with access to resources that support learning, promote curiosity and encourage reading. Unlike a traditional bookstore or bookseller, we provide our wares and services free of charge!
The Stoddert school library provides on-site access to nearly seven thousand print resources and includes: an extensive collection of nonfiction books that support teaching and learning, books that promote inquiry and high-interest titles designed to encourage pleasure reading. We also subscribe to several magazines and have a growing collection of e-resources (ebooks and audiobooks). Finally, through a partnership with the District of Columbia Public Library, we are able to provide on-site access to dozens of subscription databases.
So, what are you waiting for? Invest in your child's future by signing him or her up for library privileges today! You may complete the “Stoddert Library Lending Agreement” online or download it as a pdf and deliver it to your child’s classroom. Please do so as soon as possible.
Please note: borrowing privileges are reserved for the students and staff of Stoddert Elementary School.
